Organisational Structure
The ARC is entrusted with applied research in Agriculture including field and horticultural crops, and forestry. The ARC mission is "to provide attractive and realistic technologies to improve and sustain productivity in Agriculture". The Board of Directors governing ARC is responsible for the development of research policy, seeking finance for research programs, and approving of budgets. The board has two committees, the technical, and the financial and administrative committee. The Organisational structure of ARC Headquarter consists of Director General, Deputy Director General, Deputy Director General for Finance and Administration, Director of Training and Publication, Scientific Editor, National Coordinators, and supporting administrative staff. Research activities are implemented in a network of research centers, stations, sub-stations, and testing sites.
Research Programs
Crop Improvement programs for food, feed, and industrial crops. And this is done through on-station research including laboratory and field experiments and studies managed by researcher, and on-farm research including research-managed trials, farmer-research managed trials, demonstration plots and pilot production plots.
